Thinking of doing an accent wall or pattern design in your home? In this video, we will show you how to get the perfect line while painting. Begin by taping the edges of the walls adjacent to the one you’re currently painting using painters tape. This will allow for you to paint all the way to the wall’s edges without worrying about bleeding onto the surrounding surfaces. Make sure the tape is lined up straight and securely fastened to prevent paint seeping in underneath. You may want to put two or three pieces of tape on the adjacent wall to make sure you have enough coverage for your brush or roller. While you are waiting for the paint to dry in between coats, put your roller or brush into a plastic bag and seal it off. This will keep paint from drying on the brush head. Once the paint has dried, remove the painters tape. Make sure to remove the tape at an angle to ensure a clean line. When finished, use a flat edge to scrape off excess paint left on your roller. If you follow these guidelines, you should have a quick and convenient painting experience.
