Manage your finances from your phone with mobile banking.

Going mobile with your online savings account

Access your account anywhere you take your device. Oh, and that’s just the beginning.

December 17, 2025

In today’s fast-paced digital world, mobile banking apps make it easy to manage your money from anywhere. Whether you’re at home, commuting, or on vacation, you can stay on top of your finances with just a few taps on your phone.

Want to verify that a deposit has been credited? Need to check your account balance? Your bank’s mobile app lets you do either of these things when and wherever the moment is right for you. That sure beats waiting until you can sit down at your home computer, or even worse, having to hunt down a misplaced paper statement.

The benefits of mobile banking apps for your savings

Benefits of mobile banking apps include:

  • Real-time access to your account balance
  • Instant confirmation of deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
  • Secure login and advanced encryption
  • The ability to move funds between your internal accounts and linked external accounts

With a mobile banking app, you can also use your device to make withdrawals or transfers. Like the sound of that? Just keep in mind that mobile users do have to comply with government limits on the total number of withdrawals and payments they can make each month from their savings account.

If you do use your mobile device for account access, you should be mindful of best practices in mobile device security. For example, you may want to set up a password in order to lock the device when you’re not using it. Like locking your car or your home, password protecting your mobile device can help make it inaccessible to unauthorized use. Along the same lines, you should avoid storing sensitive passwords and account information on the device itself, or on any memory chips that can be readily removed from the device. This will help you protect your bank account from hackers.

Following simple practices like these can make managing your savings easier than ever.
